Customer Review: Just like other reviewers POOR.
We bought this TV for our morning "getting ready" bathroom. We wanted news and weather for the day. We can only pick up two of the four channels in our area and our other TV's get the signals crystal clear. To be fair I took the TV to each location of the other TV's and STILL couldn't pick up any more signals! Just a poor performer for digital signals. Save your anguish and buy another brand.
Customer Review: Very Poor Digital Reception
This TV has terrible Digital reception. It gets less than half the channels I can get with two other digital TVs. I've tried all types of antennas and a separate amplifier. No improvement. I sent it off for repair and it came back the same. I think it was just designed with a very poor digital tuner. It works fine for Analog signals but they are going away soon. I would never buy this TV again.

Porter-cable ms200 1-inch to 2-inch 16-gauge 7/16-inch medium crown stapler

Customer Buzz

Could not be happier with this stapler. It's easy on air, have only used appox. 4000 staples, but never had 1 jam. Even when the staple hit screwheads inside the wood it just mashed the staple on out and did not jam. The toolless depth adj. and air ex. direction is great and never had to try the toolless unjamming deal. The ease ( and toolless also) change from single trigger pull to bump staple'n is great. Very solid well build tool. And cheapest stapler that will handle 2 inch staples. With everything figured in I dont see how you can get a better 1 to 2 inch stapler or one that is cheaper.

Customer Buzz

I already own a framing gun, finish gun, roofing gun, and a narrow crown stapler, so why did I need another gun? Well... I originally bought it to install vinyl siding on a 1000 SF workshop. When working with vinyl, it has a bit of a learning curve and it take a little bit of work to get your depth and aim correct. Once you get it dialed in - the stapler with the vinyl nose is a time saver for sure. Since then, I have found that it really fills a gap where you need something more substantial than a finish nail, but a framing nail is too much. It was great for installing shelving, sheathing, and working with plywood. It will drive a 2" staple with ease. I would strongly recommend you adding a medium crown stapler to your collection. You will find yourself reaching for it more often than you would believe.

Customer Buzz

Unit comes with storage case. Easy to load and shoots common staple sizes. We use 2 of these guns on a regular basis and have had no problems other then the occisioanl vapor lock which is easily fixed by removing air line momentarily. If you want a decent gun for an affordable price the Porter Cable is a good one.

Customer Buzz

I have now run 10,000 (B&C 7/16" x 2") staples through this tool without a SINGLE jam! It's my favorite tool. I haven't used a hammer in two years :-)

Customer Buzz

In the first few months of MS200 stapler ownership, it was used to drive 17,000 2" staples. Not a single jam. (So, I can't comment on jam fixes, but it is easy to remove the nosepiece, without tools.) This nailer has a slight "recoil". If it isn't pushed into the work AND the wood is fairly hard, the staple won't go in all the way. This is because part of the drive force is spent pushing the tool away from the staple. The same thing would probably happen with any large stapler. For the most part, the staple head is about flush with the surface, and of course, power is adjustable via the regulator.

Overall, the productivity gained by using this powerhouse is incredible. My speed was about 1 staple per second, but I took my time. Although one hand control is workable, I used both hands most of the time, in order to ensure the staple was fully driven home.

I also bought the 7/16" x 2" staples from Amazon, and they stay in. In fact, be sure you're driving staples where you won't change your mind. In the cases where a staple had to be removed, I couldn't pull them out. Wound up cutting the tops off. Almost like driving a double nail with each trigger pull. That's holding power.

The carrying case is one of those molded types, with two plastic clasps. Seems fine. Fits the tool perfectly, and provides great protection - with a small bit of staple & oil storage.

Customer Buzz

I bought this stapler from Amazon to put up sheathing and it has performed flawlessly. Have used it for several other jobs as well where a framing nailer would split the wood but needed more holding power than a finish nailer, such as attaching lattice work. Haven't used the optional vinyl siding attachment yet, but will be in the next couple of weeks. The stapler does have a depth of drive adjustment, but comes from the factory with a setting to drive the staples as deep as possible, so don't use on a finish job out of the box. Haven't had a jam yet, but the front clearing mechanism is simple to use. Have used on sheathing and lap siding jobs and was very impressed by the difference in holding power of the stapler versus a nail. It will definitely stay in the top of my job box for easy access.

Customer Buzz

I have used this stapler on a couple of jobs now and I can't complain to much about it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it did not come with a no-mar nose piece as advertised. I am writing Porter-Cable about this. I am sure they will resolve it. One word of caution: most Home Depot/Lowes stores do not carry 16 gauge staples. Make sure you have an alternate supplier available locally (a real tool store) otherwise order the staples here.

Customer Buzz

I bought this stapler because my long-suffering wife refused to act like a clamp anymore, so I had to hold up sheets of sheathing or paneling with an elbow and a knee while trying to drive nails. It got old really fast! This PC stapler is a marriage saver! The owner's manual is well written, and I was using the stapler five minutes out of the box. I easily quadrupled my output, and was able to sheath and side my shop (16x16') solo in a single day. Haven't had a jam yet, though they look fairly simple to clear. Definitely worth the money!

Porter-cable coil250 round head 1-1/2-inch to 2-1/2-inch coil framing nailer

Best Price Porter Cable COIL250 For Sale. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz
After sending back 2 faulty Hitachi coil nailers, I purchased this Porter-Cable siding gun and have run thousands of nails through it with near perfect results (only one jam at the very end of a coil). This is the third Porter-Cable nail gun I now own along with a finish and a framing gun. All of the guns perform well.

It came with a great case like my other PC guns (the Hitachi gun only came in a carboard box). Porter Cable also sent me a restrictive trigger replacement for free. Note: I do not use these guns on a daily basis, so I might believe that they are not as robust as some of the guns costing hundreds of dollars more, but they work well for me. I do not baby them.

The only negative of the COIL250 I have experienced is that the final two nails of the coil do not feed properly and must be removed by hand. I believe this is not uncommon among coil nailers and it sure beats refilling a straight nail gun every few minutes. And yes you do have to spend about 30 seconds each morning putting a few drops of oil in the PC guns if you do not have an inline oiler. This has never seemed like a liability to me. But hey, if you spend $500 on an oil-less nail gun, like some carpenters I know, then you gotta brag about something.

The worst part about this nailer is procuring fasteners for it. As siding nailers are not used universally by carpenters like other types of nail guns, you may not be able to find various (or any) coil nails locally. Not really a big deal if you can plan ahead and order from the Tool Crib or Amazon.

I have shot hot dipped galvanized nails through the COIL250 with the ease of normal nails. The depth adjustment works well to set fasteners flush.

Porter-Cable, along with Dewalt, was bought early in 2005 by Black & Decker (whose tools I look on as junk). So time will tell if the quality will remain. As for now I recommend this gun over the Hitachi NV65AH, and suspect it would hold its own over others in its price range.

Customer Buzz
This is a great all purpose nailer. I have used it for installing wood shingles and strapping and it has worked flawlessly. For strapping it is lighter and has greater nail capacity than a stick framing gun for working overhead. It is lightweight, although not as light as the Hitachi siding gun, but is more versatile. All adjustments are easy, I especially like the depth of drive adjustment wheel (no tools needed) nail size selector and air deflector. My neighbor used it to install strapping in her basement and after a 5 minute demonstration she was all set to go and loved using it. I own many other Porter Cable tools and use them on a daily basis in my contracting business, they all work great. I personally think they make the best sanders around. Part of my decision to own them is that if they ever need service I am less than an hour away from a Porter Cable (Company) store.

Customer Buzz
The PC Coil250 is a great tool. I purchased it to replace the siding on my house. It did the job without a single jam, and has plenty of power to drive 2.5" nails through Hardi (cement-fiber) siding boards and Hardi trim (5/8"+3/4"). The depth of drive adjustment is a very handy feature.

Porter-cable 693lrpk 1-3/4 hp fixed router and plunge base kit

Best Price Porter Cable 693LRPK. Free Shipping. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz
My dad taught wood shop for 30 years. This is all he would buy. Of all the models out there, this is the only ones that would stand up to the every day abuse of his students. I just purchased this to replace my craftsman that I've had for 5 years and only used occasionally.

Customer Buzz
A great product and set. Easy to use and very accurate. Great power for the size and price.

Customer Buzz
This is a great and flexiable router. Moving between the two bases is very quick. The ease with which the fixed base can be removed makes it very easy to change bits and make adjustment. Pleanty of power and works great in all task especially cutting dovetails.

Customer Buzz
When I decided I needed another "mid-sized" router, the choice was simple. I bought my first Porter Cable "690" series router with a plunge base back in the early 90's ($189). It was used professionally for about 5 years and has since been used in my home shop. Other models owned personally, by co-workers and friends have come and gone but my experience with Porter Cable has amounted to hundreds of hours of use with no problems.
I purchased the 693LRPK for two main reasons. (1) Quality. (2) My old router and the 693 fixed and plunge bases are interchangeable.
Some might say it is short on features and needs updating but I don't mind having to use two wrenches for bit changes (no collet lock) and I don't mind the size and weight. I believe it is a direct relation to the power and quality.

Out of the box there are only 2 noticable differances from my original. The on/off switch is no longer a toggle but a rocker type and the plunge base lever is plastic not metal. Use reveals plenty of power with accurate cuts so at this point, I am going to assume the unseen (quality) has changed little if at all.

Customer Buzz
Havent had a chance to take this pup out for a spin but I used to use a similar model in a shop I used to work in. The quality is still there for PC and you can feel it with both the stops and the motor. Feels like your actually holding onto something made to last....which lately has been a new concept!

Customer Buzz
Just like the other Porter-Cable power tools I own. Very dependable and well made. I have not had any problems with it. It runs smooth and has very little vibration compared to other brands I have used. It is light weight, versatile and easy to control. I have used it on doors, and in build cabinets. It has never let me down. I would recommend it. It is a great hand router. I say hand router because it is not designed for a table router. If you a looking for a table outer I would go with a more simple one and with more horsepower. I gave this four stars because nothing is perfect.

Customer Buzz
The first router I bought was a Ryobi R160 1 1/2 hp with 1/4" collet. I was just getting into woodworking and trying to save money. I upgraded to the 693 about six months ago and overall am pleased but there are things I would change if I could.
The first is the lack of a spindle lock requiring two wrenches. The Ryobi had that feature and I miss it. Haven't busted any knuckles, but it is more trouble to change bits.
The biggest problem is the fixed base lock. It is worthless. P-C dropped the ball on this aspect. I have read around the net and found several others voicing the same thing-some have even removed the "locking tab" using only a regular nut and bolt in it's place!
I miss the trigger power switch on the handle, but this is due to the interchanging of bases/handles.
It has good power and is reliable so far. I bought another fixed base and mounted under my table saw extension for a router table, so for the versatility of 3 routers for the relatively low cost it is alright. I would like to buy a bigger router to mount permanently in the table, and I would buy P-C again.

Porter-cable 892 2-1/4-horsepower router

Best Price Porter Cable 892. Free Shipping. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz
i love this router. by far has enough power for any job. the only thing i don't like is that it comes with one wrench for bit changing. It uses an awkward button to hold the arbor still which is great in idea but impractical once you have used the router and accumulated any dust on the unit. It has a slow start which is great. i work as a cabinet installer and recommend this router to all of my apprentices. i also recommend the bosch 1-1/2 horse power trim router for tighter quarters.

Customer Buzz
Very pleased with the router, excellent adjustment feature, and smooth start. Would highly recommend this router.

Customer Buzz
Gone are the days when Porter Cable made quality power tools. This router is made in China and it is not up to the quality that Porter Cable used to make. I have four other older Porter Cable routers, and I will never get rid of them as long as they continue to operate. This model 892 router has so much run out on the spindle that it vibrates my router table. Don't waste your hard earned dollars on this piece of junk. You would be better off buying a used older model 690 or 691. I used this router for one day, and will end up selling it for a fraction of the cost on ebay.

Customer Buzz
It runs smooth when I want it too. That's all I need from this tool.

Customer Buzz
I recently purchased a Porter-Cable 2 1/4 variable speed router from Amazon.com. It was only the second time that I had purchased a piece of woodworking equipment from Amazon.com (my first purchase was the Lonnie Bird set of CMT crown molding router bits). Although I have been a woodworker for more than 20 years I have previously always purchased from a specialized woodworking site.

In both instances that I purchased from Amazon, Amazon priced the same item significantly cheaper than the specialty woodworking sites. In both cases my equipment arrived in record time and in mint condition.

I bought the P-C router to use in my router table where I employ an older router lift which required a smaller diameter motor than most of the more recent industrial strength routers--but I needed the variable speed to handle free-hand routing of curved pieces (which I have learned--by painful experience--work much better when the router speed is dialed down). The model 892 fit my router lift and the slower motor speed helped me do the job more safely and with less stress. I am very happy with this purchase.

Customer Buzz
i owned one for over a year now and works great got a second one for a router table

Customer Buzz
I think it's great. I got it 3 weeks ago and mounted it in my saw table. It is very easy to adjust from above the table and bit changes are easy with my drop in mount. It seems to have plenty of power even at lower speeds. I plan to purchase the plunge base to use with the same motor since the bases are so easy to change.

Customer Buzz
When everything is working, this is a great router system. Too bad, it seldom works. I've owned the router for over a year and for 6 months of that time it has been in and out of the shop. Problems include broken motor lock mechanism, broken worm gear to raise motor and broken shaft lock. Last time, I bought extra gears and shaft lock pins just to keep it out of the shop. Any sawdust clogs the mechanism so raising and lowering are tough. I've had several other PC routers and have been extremely pleased with all of them, but this one has just about made me lose the faith.

Customer Buzz
I have used this router only under the table (inside a dust collection enclosure) for about a year now and I really like it. The router is solid as expected from PC. It is much more quiet/less obnoxious than the 690 series and has noticably more power. I don't have a need for the speed control that much. I love the height adjustment features, and even though I would like it even better if they made it out of aluminum, it has held up just fine so far. The only thing I dislike given that all the other features make it so convenient for under-table-use is the safety feature that requires you turn the router switch to the Off position in order to use the spindle lock feature: I use the tool with a table mounted switch in a dust collection enclosure and so I had to cut the plastic safety tab to circumvent this issue. Still like it a lot.

Customer Buzz
Using the router under the table has been impossible, since I keep snapping the cheap spun aluminum levers PC has used. This especially happens when using a socket to manipulate the lever. Loosening the lever screw so that the lever won't break does not adequately secure the router. The router design is brilliant in terms of the mechanism, but the parts need to be rock solid and they are not. I am extremely dissapointed.
